Amazon Devices Marketing

Responsibilities: Templatization, Visual Design, Web Design, Workflow Management


I spent 5 years on the Amazon Devices in-house creative team, and during that time I touched on a broad range of projects with a wide variety of goals.



Shown above are assets from the annual Prime Day sale focused on the Amazon Devices product line(Kindle, FireTV, Fire Tablet, and Alexa.) The design work itself was a simple enough request – product renders, messaging, pricing, and branding configured in various sizes for use around the web.


The primary challenge turned out to be a matter of volume, dynamic hourly price changes, and required business reviews before publishing. Taking these factors into account, we developed among other time saving measures – a template that pushed updates across the entire set of assets when edited, a presentation template that was always updating in the background for ease of handoff, as well as a customizable image file size optimization tool. 


Before this particular event, the creative team was operating without a standardized template for designing, presenting, and delivering assets for mass-marketing events. This had in the past led to delayed delivery and increased stress levels for the team. These adjustments helped us save hours of time and allowed for a more robust response to changing demands of the marketing team.

Echo Devices

Supported Echo marketing goals in various aspects. This included micro-sites, brand landing pages, leadership presentation materials, event sale marketing, UI design for both the device and mobile apps, video-editing, as well as product render creation and retouching.

Kindle E-readers

Supported Kindle marketing goals in various aspects. This included micro-sites, brand landing pages, leadership presentation materials, event sale marketing, UI design for both the device and mobile apps, as well as product render creation and retouching.

Fire TV Blaster

Created a landing page for an IR blaster that interacts with the Alexa device system. Mainly responsible for compositing images for above and below the fold placements. This project also included a mass marketing component with standard web placements.
